Waking up late

How do you feel when you wake up late, I feel like s..t. I normally get up at 0345 but today I got up at 0510 and I don't know where I am, no second cup of coffee with my wife when she gets up normally to go to work and by then my blog is finished and published, great start to the day? Second weekend, bedlam, when everyone is here apart from my son who is in his new flat and new job, now for the first time I have to cook dinner but only roast a chicken but I have forgotten how because it's always myself, wife and daughter and I've forgotten how to cook for more than three people. Do you sometimes experience the same thing, if so then you will understand, but now I'm drinking my second cup of coffee and then I'll be alert and be able to write my blog, something that belongs to me which I enjoy,it brings me back to normality and when I write my mind starts working which is great. How do you feel when you get up late is it the same as me or different? First thing I normally do is to look through the headlines from around the world, which are usually depressing but that's life on our planet, war in Ukraine, the opposition leader in Belarus in jail for over a year and his wife who is in exile doesn't know whether he is alive or dead just because of another dictator or should I say Putins puppet, flooding in Dubai, great for a holiday, sun, desert and flooding, what a great combination, accusations from USA that China is helping Russia and messing around with internet connections, Trump back in court, it's as if we as individuals haven't got enough problems without thinking about the world and how it will end up, I don't know why I look at headlines early in the morning,is it because deep down I want to know what is happening or because I want to have a topic to write about? It would be better if I only wrote about my life than about the global situation, I'm not a polatition, a scientist, a philoser, I'm just an ordinary person trying to get from day to day as are a lot of people on this planet, war, disease, starvation, global warming, what a mess this world is in, it's better if I finish now as I am beginning to feel depressed again even though the sun is shining I have work to do, so if you enjoyed reading today's blog then please share and perhaps comment.     Thanks Chris. Let us know a bit about Croatia. I was just watching some video of one of the coastal towns I forget which one but it was absolutely beautiful.

Well at long last it seems that there may be a break in our heatwave, last night after the temperature hitting a huge 40 degrees it started to thunder and lightning but did the heavens open for rain to fall, no only a few spots, I could probably drink more water than fell from the sky, at least it's a little cooler 19 and set to rise to a reasonable 35 degrees which is a bit more bearable. It's Sunday the end of the weekend and again it seems that my wife and I will be on our own, my youngest daughter and her fiance are going here and there to visit his family and I'm not sure if my eldest daughter will be here so it's going to be a weird Sunday but peaceful. The other foot

I bet that the president of Ukraine is now extatic when the shoe is on the other foot and the idiot in the Kremlin is getting a right good kicking. It's been so long since the people of Ukraine had something to be happy about and not feel miserable every day. They may be still losing their homeland little by little every day but I now think that perhaps the tide is turning. The incursion into the russian motherland which is the first time since WW11 is an early Christmas present after all the suffering that they have endured physically, mentally and the bodies of their loved ones coming home from the front in boxes. Now it's the turn of the russian people to be upset and experience what the ordinary people of Ukraine have for so long.
