When

When will the citizens of Russia realise that what they and their dictator Putin are doing is wrong and start to disregard all the propaganda that's being put out by Moscow. Myself I can't believe that they can't see the whole truth especially in this age of computers and mobile technology, the truth is out there and I can't understand why the ordinary people of Russia can't look at the media and think to themselves which is true, the so called "special operations" that Putin started so long ago are all lies and what they see on their tv and read in newspapers is nothing but false information. How they don't know someone in their village, town or city that has had to bury a loved one can't see what is right in front of them that Russia has lost over five hundred thousand soldiers in Ukraine because of what the lunatic in the Kremlin says is the right thing to do or are they so brain washed into believing and trusting their beloved leader that he is doing the right thing for the mother land or is it that they actually don't care as long as they take back Ukraine which is as their dictator says is a part of Russia. The country of Ukraine and many other former countries of Russia broke away from Moscow and a life under a dictator because they wanted a decent life with a job and a decent wage, free speech without getting sent to prison or worse for saying something that the Kremlin deemed as a crime but all it actually was was a person speaking his or her own mind and wanting better for their families future, is that so wrong that the people of Russia still believe and trust the mass murderer and war criminal who has sent so many to their deaths for nothing only that he and he alone knows that what he wants then the people of Russia must want. There are so many words to describe what Putin is doing and all of them bad but we in the west all know and realise this because we are free from the constraints of communism and dictatorship and have the freedom that the Ukrainians thrive for, so give them the tools to do it and end this war once and for all with the Ukrainians taking back their land and starting to rebuild their homes and lives. The remains of the unit that were in this position left and we followed them, we went around the outskirts of the village and back into the center. Third installment

Day in, day out, it was the same routine, sleep, guard, fire off a few rounds in the general direction of the enemy, there was not much else to do, the main thing was to stay alive by keeping inside every time mortars or artillery came flying in to the village. The only time that there was a lot of activitie was when we were buzzed by planes, everybody would rush outside, Ernie would jump on the transporter and fire the machine gun, I used to run to the machine gun that was mounted on a tripod at the end of the street and also fire at the plane, everybody else would be outside firing their ak47s, there was not much chance of hitting it or bringing it down but it took only one lucky shot and that would give everyone hope. After the plane had gone out of sight that the transporter was Ernies because he had shot at the enemy leaving the damaged transporter with a sniper rifle, so Geordi the commander in charge of the defense of Osijek had given it to Ernie, I also found out that he worked...

Second installment

The word money has a way of working it's way into every aspect of life and my little crusade was not exempt, how much did I need to get to Croatia, how much did I need to survive on the way, it all had to be taken into account and most where and how I was going to get the money from that I needed. By inquiring at travel agents I found out that I could fly but only as far as Austria, Italy or Hungary but the price was much too expensive for me. Taking the train to any of these countries was also far too expensive, the cheapest way was by bus but the only problem was that it took so long to reach your destination. The bus that I wanted to take went from London and it's destination was Athens in Greece, it normally went through Yugoslavia but because of the war it was not going through Budapest then down into Belgrade before going onto Greece.
