Omg, you all know what that means so I'll go back to the beginning, yesterday my wife, son, youngest daughter and her fiance all went out for the day to a local lake/resovoir about forty minutes drive away for a day out and a swim so it was a sort of hot and quiet day, my eldest daughter working and me doing the housework, normal Saturday morning, then in the afternoon my daughter and her fiance decided it was about time that we put the swimming pool together so that's what they did, cleaned it and started to fill it, it's quite a big pool and needs a lot of water so on with the water and let it run overnight so far so good. Everyone came back early in the evening with pizza so the peace was broken, never mind back to the mad house, ate some pizza and then with a full stomach time to go for a lay down with a full stomach, upstairs to the bedroom or sauna because it was so hot, I should have gone to the local town where a well known singer and a person I knew from 1992 when there was a war in Croatia and he had only been singing professionally for about three years but that was then and now he's famous and a former politician was singing at the local festival, I thought about going and trying to see him and see if he remembered me but in the end I decided it was too late so I lay down and read while everyone else was making a mess with dishes and talking normally which means loudly, so I ate my chocolate and took my tablets and was soon in a uneasy sleep mainly because of the heat. Now to get back to omg, I got up as normal, first thing dogs out and then I noticed that the water was still filling the pool so I went to see if it was full and discovered that it was but here is where omg comes in, the water had been filling the pool all night but it was also going out through one of the plugs in the wall of the pool, water in, water out, so I had to wake up my daughter because she was the only one who knew where the plug was, she got up not very happy at being woken up so early but that's the way it had to be. Eventually she found the plug and stopped the water from flowing out, I wasn't worried so much about how much water was going in and out and how much my bill would be it was the fact that it shouldn't have happened in the first place. Well that was a great start to a Sunday morning, a day of rest supposidly, once that problem had been solved coffee time to help calm me down and start todays blog that's why it's a bit late. Well I'm sitting outside drinking my coffee because there's a breeze and it's a lovely twenty two degrees, dam my lighter has stopped working well that's two things that have gone wrong and it's only 0637 what's the third thing as everything comes in threes. Everyone is still sleeping including the dogs which gives me time to finish my blog, what's today going to be like I don't know but it must be better than this morning. That's all for now so if you enjoyed reading todays blog then like, follow and share. Thank you.
The remains of the unit that were in this position left and we followed them, we went around the outskirts of the village and back into the center. The rest of PIV or what was left of it were already there, we found out that Colin just after he had reached the main hq in the center of the village. We had to go back to the end of the street to see what was happening but as soon as we arrived we came under heavy fire as the enemy had pinpointed this house as our new front line, there was no way that we could reach Eric without getting everyone who attempted a rescue killed and because of the amount of enemy fire we had to fall back, on the way Alan started going berserk saying that he had to go back to fight, he was shooting everywhere so George calmed him down and asked him to take care of the elderly and that seemed to work. By now the village command had decided it was time to leave but first we had to wait for the mortar unit to reach safety. We could not get anywhere near under cons...
