Isn't it terrible when you get bored, you've done everything that you had to do and now you just sit down and have a cup of tea or coffee, your mind sort of shuts down, all you have left to do is wait for dinner or supper, what am I going to do next you think to yourself. Nothing on the tv as usual, so what now, well for me although I've said in the past blogs that I am against mobile phones for children, what about adults? Boredom is an awful feeling especially as you get older so you end up using your mobile to relieve the boredom by playing games, not the same games that children play but games that keep your mind active which can be important to some elderly people, you search the web for games that you remember from your childhood days like word games, card games like gin rummy or cribbage and the good thing is that you can interact with people by playing online games, talking to them or texting them, there are a lot of people who play these sort of games from all over the world so while relieving your boredom you can learn something from these other gamers, what country their from, weather, politics, anything that you want to talk about. Of course these games like the tv have adverts which I also hate but if you don't want to stay bored then you have to watch them. At long last you don't feel bored and your mind starts working again which stops the boredom and somehow you feel happier and more alert which I think is a good thing. The colour's, music, the people that you are talking to all help, it passes the time when you have nothing to do and you don't have to think about the fact that you are bored. Although as I've said I don't really like or understand this new technology but playing these games that I remember from when I was younger kind of helps me and I don't get depressed by having nothing of importance to do, so you see that mobiles are not good for children but they do serve a purpose for the older generation or should I say the over sixty fives, are you in that age group, what do you think and do you do the same thing as I do use the mobile that perhaps was a present from one of your children so that they can always keep in contact, that is if you know how use the mobile but by using it you start to remember better because now it's important for you to stay away from feeling bored and not having anyone to talk to so as you can see there are some advantages to mobiles what do you think?
The remains of the unit that were in this position left and we followed them, we went around the outskirts of the village and back into the center. The rest of PIV or what was left of it were already there, we found out that Colin just after he had reached the main hq in the center of the village. We had to go back to the end of the street to see what was happening but as soon as we arrived we came under heavy fire as the enemy had pinpointed this house as our new front line, there was no way that we could reach Eric without getting everyone who attempted a rescue killed and because of the amount of enemy fire we had to fall back, on the way Alan started going berserk saying that he had to go back to fight, he was shooting everywhere so George calmed him down and asked him to take care of the elderly and that seemed to work. By now the village command had decided it was time to leave but first we had to wait for the mortar unit to reach safety. We could not get anywhere near under cons...
