A question mark what a way to start a blog? Well just think about it, back in prehistoric times to get a wife you hit her over the head and you had a wife, there were no supermarkets so you had to hunt for food or eat berries, there must have been at least one scientist who invented fire so you could keep warm and if you were lucky enough you found a cave to give you shelter, how simple life was don't you think? No bills to pay, when the sun came up you woke up and when it went down you went to sleep, no tv, no computers and no mobile phones, simple compared to today. Today is totally different, you have to work to buy things and pay bills, you don't have to go to bed when the sun goes down, just turn on the lights and watch tv or play on your computer/mobile phone, there's faming, there's poor people, there's cars, trains, boats and airlines so no more walking to get somewhere and worst of all wars. Which is better prehistoric times or the way we live now, the world getting so overcrowded that we are thinking about settling on Mars one day and if that happens then we'll probably make a mess of that as we have done on Earth with global warming, as if everyone hasn't experienced something different weather wise, hotter, colder, flooding and extreme weather. Sitting here thinking about it I really can understand the things that we have done wrong but can we fix them, I doubt it, we'll carry on regardless with what we are doing wrong and not worry about the outcome of our actions, I would rather be like Fred Flintstone and Wilma, working and all the comforts of family life and not having to really worry as we all do now. What will the future bring, that depends on us and the way that we live, I somehow think that it will probably get worse before it gets better, which is a shame but that's what's going to happen unless we all wake up and do something to make this world a better place for everyone, what do you think?
The remains of the unit that were in this position left and we followed them, we went around the outskirts of the village and back into the center. The rest of PIV or what was left of it were already there, we found out that Colin just after he had reached the main hq in the center of the village. We had to go back to the end of the street to see what was happening but as soon as we arrived we came under heavy fire as the enemy had pinpointed this house as our new front line, there was no way that we could reach Eric without getting everyone who attempted a rescue killed and because of the amount of enemy fire we had to fall back, on the way Alan started going berserk saying that he had to go back to fight, he was shooting everywhere so George calmed him down and asked him to take care of the elderly and that seemed to work. By now the village command had decided it was time to leave but first we had to wait for the mortar unit to reach safety. We could not get anywhere near under cons...
