Questions

Questions, there are so many right now, why are there so many evil people in the world, the main one is Putin he retaliated against Ukraines attacks not by attacking milatery targets but civilian ones and then threatening the west again with nuclear weapons, I think he is totally insane. Why is China also threatening to invade Taiwan a democratic island country with what I think has no real significance to China. Why does Korea keep testing missiles, is Korea planning another war? Why are there rich and poor people in the world, why can't everyone be equal with no real need for money, the stuff of the future you may say and I for one can't wait for the future to come as the present is so depressing. Why did Musk buy Twitter then call it X and with all his riches he is test firing his SpaceX rocket which successfully launched and touched down, he will make more money from NASA because they are planning to send astronauts to the moon does he and NASA know something we don't. Why are countries all over the world against democracy can't they see it's better to be democratic than live in a dictatorship where people don't have the right of free speech and the chance to live a normal life which we in the west take for granted. Why yesterday was president Biden taken away quickly from the D-day celebrations, is there something wrong health wise with him or is there some other reason? Why is life so full of questions isn't it hard enough just to live a normal life without thinking about the possibility of WWIII, it's alright for the people in power because they all have their bunkers ready just incase. Why can't we all just move on to a better and more safer time, I sometimes wish that I had a time machine and could go to the future to see what is awaiting us, good or bad so then I could answer some of the questions that haunt and scare people every day. Why are there so many questions in life, is that the way it's supposed to be and why are we all human and have to think about these and other questions every day of our lives, all bad news and maybe worse to come,I suppose this world wasn't made to be perfect. Why are we seeing "so called" UFOs all around the world are aliens planning to collonise our world when we have destroyed it, that's a weird question but I can't stop thinking about questions that I can't answer or anybody else for that matter, eventually all questions will be answered when no one knows which is another question. Why is the weather changing so much that question can be answered because we are to blame, it seems to me that we are intent on destroying ourselves one way or another for what reason? There are so many questions in my head that I'm getting a headache just thinking about those unanswered questions which I can't answer, perhaps it's better not to think and what will be will be. The remains of the unit that were in this position left and we followed them, we went around the outskirts of the village and back into the center. Third installment

Day in, day out, it was the same routine, sleep, guard, fire off a few rounds in the general direction of the enemy, there was not much else to do, the main thing was to stay alive by keeping inside every time mortars or artillery came flying in to the village. The only time that there was a lot of activitie was when we were buzzed by planes, everybody would rush outside, Ernie would jump on the transporter and fire the machine gun, I used to run to the machine gun that was mounted on a tripod at the end of the street and also fire at the plane, everybody else would be outside firing their ak47s, there was not much chance of hitting it or bringing it down but it took only one lucky shot and that would give everyone hope. After the plane had gone out of sight that the transporter was Ernies because he had shot at the enemy leaving the damaged transporter with a sniper rifle, so Geordi the commander in charge of the defense of Osijek had given it to Ernie, I also found out that he worked...

Seventh installment, sorry it's a bit late but its hard to write what I wrote and remember.

The next day it was awfully quiet, the calm before the storm perhaps, nothing much for breakfast so we decided to try and lay the land line. So off we went house to house laying the wire behind us and then the mortars started again so we hit the ground, lying down was the safest if caught outside, there were pieces of shrapnel hitting the wall near to us and it was not a very safe place to be so we decided to make a run for it, that was the quickest I had ran in a long time, it is amazing how fast your legs move when you're life is at risk, "that was a nice little bit of exercise" Eric said laughing, "yes but it would have been better if we weren't dodging pieces of metal" I replied also laughing.  Everyone was there apart from those on guard duty and during the night it had changed from two to three, so I sat down on the bar stool and Eric went behind the counter looking for something to eat and all of a sudden bang and I fell off the stool, they all came t...
