That time

Well it's that time of the month when the everyone is supposed to be home which is great but as I've mentioned before loud. This weekend will be a little bit different, my son will be going to a friend's for his friends birthday so he won't be here today, our youngest daughters fiance is playing in a football tournament so they won't be here, so it seems like there will be peace and quiet at least for most of the day until my wife and eldest daughter come home. So it's just me and the dogs for the morning at least, of course I won't be sitting on my bum as I have to cook dinner for when they come home but there's no mad rush to get it done thankfully. Yesterday it was quiet all day as everyone was in work and then my wife and eldest daughter had to go to the local town to continue working so I was on my lonesome self for almost all day and yes I didn't do much except cook something for me to eat, when I spoke to my youngest daughter on the mobile and told her that I had baked beans and chips for dinner she was surprised but for me that was a good meal, what's wrong with a chip butty and baked beans well as far as I'm concerned nothing but she found it an odd combination but I enjoyed it and that's all that matters. The temperature yesterday was in the low 30's so most of the time I spent indoors because as soon as you opened the door the heat hit you like a slap across the face, even the dogs didn't want to sunbathe so stay indoors shutters closed as well as the front door and it remained cool inside,looking outside now it seems as if it's going to be another hot day. It's great if you're on the coast as you have a sea breeze which makes the heat bearable and you always have the sea to cool down and here in Croatia you don't have to worry about the water being dirty because it's crystal clear and pleasantly warm, I suppose that's why so many tourists come here for their holidays, good food, clear water and most of all nice people. Well that's all for now as I decided not to write about anything depressing as I sometimes do so if you enjoyed reading today's blog which was like a part of my diary then like, follow and share. Well at long last it seems that there may be a break in our heatwave, last night after the temperature hitting a huge 40 degrees it started to thunder and lightning but did the heavens open for rain to fall, no only a few spots, I could probably drink more water than fell from the sky, at least it's a little cooler 19 and set to rise to a reasonable 35 degrees which is a bit more bearable. It's Sunday the end of the weekend and again it seems that my wife and I will be on our own, my youngest daughter and her fiance are going here and there to visit his family and I'm not sure if my eldest daughter will be here so it's going to be a weird Sunday but peaceful. The other foot

I bet that the president of Ukraine is now extatic when the shoe is on the other foot and the idiot in the Kremlin is getting a right good kicking. It's been so long since the people of Ukraine had something to be happy about and not feel miserable every day. They may be still losing their homeland little by little every day but I now think that perhaps the tide is turning. The incursion into the russian motherland which is the first time since WW11 is an early Christmas present after all the suffering that they have endured physically, mentally and the bodies of their loved ones coming home from the front in boxes. Now it's the turn of the russian people to be upset and experience what the ordinary people of Ukraine have for so long.
