I wonder wheather elections are important as politicians make out, of course there is not long to go to the American election and all to me it seems is a smear campaign with either side just trying to make out the other an old man, a criminal and nobody actually says anything worth while listening to. The candidates spend millions on their campaign to get elected or re-elected, wouldn't all those millions of dollars be better spent on something worth while like helping the homeless, jobless, poor and generally making the ordinary peoples lives better, I think so. If they want to argue with each other then do it a few times during debates and not spend all that money on placards, advertising and tv air time, I don't know really what the ordinary person in America thinks but I'm sure that they are getting fed up with all the hipe and the only real topic on all the big tv stations is the election, isn't there anything going on in the world that people would like to hear about, Im not saying what but something different apart from the sparring partners looking for a new house rent free. It doesn't matter what country you live in you will always have elections and does the outcome matter, no, the politicians only say what they want to say just to get elected and when and if they are elected they don't do anything that they promised running up to the election, for me every election is a farce, a complete waste of time, I although have the right to vote I don't bother as most of the time people know who's going to win before hand especially in dictatorship so what's the point. On the other hand you could say that your vote counts even if you're voting against the largest party and the probable winners but you at least you carried out your democratic right as a citizen in what ever country you live in, which is fair enough but it would be better to vote for Mickey Mouse than some of the candidates but as I've already said that this what I'm writing is just my opinion and isn't the law, people can do what they want, vote or don't that's their decision. Well that's all from me today as I voted for another sunny, hot day and my vote will almost certainly be a winner. If you enjoyed reading todays blog then like, follow and share. Thank you.
The remains of the unit that were in this position left and we followed them, we went around the outskirts of the village and back into the center. The rest of PIV or what was left of it were already there, we found out that Colin just after he had reached the main hq in the center of the village. We had to go back to the end of the street to see what was happening but as soon as we arrived we came under heavy fire as the enemy had pinpointed this house as our new front line, there was no way that we could reach Eric without getting everyone who attempted a rescue killed and because of the amount of enemy fire we had to fall back, on the way Alan started going berserk saying that he had to go back to fight, he was shooting everywhere so George calmed him down and asked him to take care of the elderly and that seemed to work. By now the village command had decided it was time to leave but first we had to wait for the mortar unit to reach safety. We could not get anywhere near under cons...
